Engineering is an inspiring, rigorous and practical subject. Using creativity and imagination, students design and make products that solve real and relevant problems.

Our aim is to equip all students with relevant and transferable skills, enabling them to produce high quality outcomes in their practical work.

Success in Engineering can allow students access to a range of opportunities from apprenticeships through to Degree level study. The range of careers offered under the umbrella of Engineering is incredibly wide and can suit students of all interests, abilities and gender.

This includes health, entertainment, transport, construction, robotics, conservation, design, communications, disaster relief etc.

At KS4, students study NCFE (2963) Level 2 Technical Award in Engineering.

At KS5, students study OCR (H404) A Level Design and Technology - Design Engineering
